What Is Sitecore?

Sitecore is an enterprise-level content management system (CMS), that enables web Editors, Approvers, and Publishers to update and manage the information that is displayed on the websites. It's a non-technical web editor intended for writers and marketers without the requirement of knowing HTML code.

Sitecore has both a Content Editor, for working with backend information as well as an Experience Editor, for on-page editing from the viewer's perspective. These applications, along with Sitecore's intuitive work environment help with editing content, workflows, publishing, media management, and content search.
