Dear Dr. Andy

While patients can view radiology reports in Epic/MyChart, they are unable to access their actual imaging studies. Providing patients with secure access to their images would greatly benefit those who receive follow-up or emergency care at non-Epic institutions, reduce duplicate imaging, and improve care continuity.

It turns out we already are working on this, along with balancing secure storage and of course patient privacy.

You Fight for...

In advance of the annual “Play4Kay” UConn women’s basketball game Feb. 7 in Hartford — where the Huskies acknowledge those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer, and celebrate survivors, caregivers, and staff from our breast cancer program — Dr. Sunny Mitchell, breast cancer surgeon, shares her “I Fight For” sign. Submit yours before the noon tipoff and you’ll be in a drawing for a pair of courtside tickets to a future game.
