As spring kicks in so do the mosquitoes. They are swarming all around campus. Is there a plan in place to address this? 

The geese are nice to have on campus, however, the mess they leave behind is very unsanitary. Is there a way that maintenance can spray the walkways every morning?

Nurses Day at the State Capitol

Natalia Zaniewski and Marlena Wojtylo, nursing professional development specialists, visit the House chamber while taking part in Nurses Day at the state Capitol. 

“We learned about several important bills, including those focused on protecting Connecticut healthcare workers, financial protection from wage loss after injury, a proposed violence warning system to establish a statewide healthcare worker alert system within the health information exchange, and healthcare parking protections to prevent penalties while delivering patient care in homes and community settings,” Natalia says. “We were also able to meet and hear legislators speak, connect with nurses from across Connecticut, and be part of meaningful conversations and networking — while proudly representing UConn Health.”
