Project Thrive

Project Thrive thermometer

At UConn Health, we strive to provide the best healthcare in the nation. As the state’s flagship academic health system, we are also responsible for being good stewards and using resources responsibly without sacrificing quality, patient experience, or employee satisfaction.

Project Thrive is our work to meet the commitment of eliminating state funding for the clinical operation. Our combined efforts to mitigate FY26 budget gaps, achieve the goals of the Financial Improvement Plan (FIP) 2028, execute our strategic vision, and expand access for all will not only achieve that goal but position UConn Health as the state’s indispensable leader for a strong, healthy Connecticut.

What does success look like?

Reputation and recognition as a financially thriving, statewide academic medical center known for clinical excellence, considered the employer of choice for healthcare professionals, and accorded prominent national stature for education and translational and clinical research.

We will continue to share the latest information on our short- and long-term plans, tools, and key updates here and throughout the Project Thrive website.

Be Part of Our Success

We would love to hear from you with questions or ideas on ways to improve our collective performance.

All submissions will be reviewed and answered, and ideas not already under consideration will be entered into a monthly drawing for a UConn Bookstore gift card.
