The Connecticut Employees Union Independent (CEUI) offers in-service training programs for its members, including NP-2 bargaining unit employees, through the Connecticut State Employee Training Program (CT State) and other approved educational opportunities. 

CEUI In-Service Training Program

• Offered: Spring and Fall semesters, in partnership with the Connecticut Community College System
• Eligibility: Open to CEUI members; NP-2 employees at all levels are encouraged to participate. Agencies may limit course selection to those related to your job, but many do not. 
• Registration:

1. Review the current CEUI/Technical Courses catalog to find relevant courses.

2. Obtain approval from your agency's Training Approval Officer (TAO) before registering. 

  3. Submit a seat request via the agency's TAO.

  4. Register with the community college using the online form; HR will email course confirmation.

• Course types: In-person and online options; business and workplace skills; computer skills and technology; leadership, management, and supervision; and trade and technical skills
• Certificates: Issued upon completion; most in-service courses grant CEUs
