Become a Member
The Wellness Center is open to UConn Health faculty and staff, graduate students, medical and dental students, postdoctoral fellows, and residents and fellows.
Conveniently located on the main floor of the Lab Building (LM034), the Wellness Center is a 3,600-square-foot, 24/7 badge-access community gym designed to support your fitness journey. The space features updated exercise equipment, unlimited group fitness classes, and on-site showers—everything you need to stay active, all in one place.

We offer a variety of group exercise classes each week for people of all ages and skill levels. Our classes are free with any membership, check out our schedule and sign up today to begin your fitness journey!

The UConn Health Wellness Center is conveniently located in the Lab Building (LM034) and offers a variety of:
- 24/7 secure badge access for convenient, anytime entry
- Spacious locker rooms with private changing areas
- Clean, modern showers
- Full range of cardio equipment, including treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals
- Comprehensive strength-training area with functional equipment
- Extensive free-weight selection, including dumbbells, racks, and benches
- Instructor-led group fitness classes for all experience levels
- Wellness challenges and programs designed to support short and long-term health, motivation, and accountability
Wellness Center Guidelines
Hours of Operations
The Wellness Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with badges access.
Access is limited to registered Wellness Center members only; guests are not permitted. Members who allow non-members to enter the Wellness Center will forfeit their membership.
Wellness Center Member Guidelines
- For everyone’s safety and cleanliness, food and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the Wellness Center. Workout beverages should be in a sealed, lidded container, and members are asked to clean up any spills right away.
- Members are asked to wear proper workout attire when using the exercise equipment, including a shirt or top, shorts or pants, and athletic shoes. For safety and cleanliness, scrubs, bonnets, masks, booties, and lab coats are not permitted.
- The Wellness Center is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
- Lockers are available for member use on a first-come, first-served basis and are for day use only. Please be sure to remove all personal belongings from lockers immediately after your workout.
- Lockers are not for personal storage. The Wellness Center reserves the right to inspect all lockers and remove any locks left on them. Any items remaining in lockers will be disposed of without notice.
- Members are required to sanitize equipment after each use using the wipes provided throughout the Wellness Center.
- Please return all equipment to its proper place after use, and do not prop doors open. Be courteous to others in the Wellness Center by sharing equipment and allowing others to work in between sets.
- When the Center is busy, please limit your time on machines to 30 minutes and avoid socializing while occupying equipment.
- To help maintain a welcoming and safe environment, members who engage in inappropriate behavior or knowingly violate Wellness Center guidelines may be denied access or have their membership suspended or revoked.
- Outside personal training is not permitted in the Wellness Center.

Take 10 is a self-paced wellness program encouraging participants to take 10 minutes a day for their personal well-being. There are five activity options available: stretch, walk, strength, mindfulness, and kindness.
