The UConn Health Downtime Response Plan describes and outlines downtime procedures to ensure an effective response to a variety of downtime scenarios that could cause harm and/or disrupt patient care. In many clinical areas UConn Health has workstations that are designated as Business Continuity Access (BCA) workstations, that are key in a downtime. These workstations include an application that allows access to critical patient care information during a downtime event. A variety of reports are available through the BCA application and can be viewed online or printed to the attached local BCA designated printer.
