The Availability of the In-Place Archive Mailbox

The In-Place Archive, or Online Archive, is a new feature provisioned during Migration to assist with streamlining mailbox management. This set of folders is available in both Outlook and Outlook on the Web. All email content that is older than 2 years will automatically be archived to this set of folders. The archiving process will move the content from your mailbox to the same folder structure within your In-Place Archive. However, in addition to this, you can also manually move emails, or folders of emails, to the Archive Mailbox within any new or existing folders. The Archive Mailbox will auto-expand for continued use at 100gb size increments. Please note the Archive Mailbox folders are not accessible from your Outlook when you are working in offline mode, not connected to the network. Sharing Your Calendar

With the migration of your mailbox to Office 365 existing permissions you have provided or delegated to another UConn Health user are carried over; for example, you may have granted another user to access to review or edit your calendar. Once your mailbox has been migrated, if the user accessing your calendar has not yet been migrated, in some cases you may need to re-initiate sharing of your calendar to that delegated user. This will then send an invitation email to the user with a prompt for them to "accept" the sharing invitation and granting the access back to your calendar.

Skype and Teams in Office 365

Full implementation of Microsoft Teams to Replace Skype

Migrated users will still be able to receive and respond to Skype messages and calls and participate in Skype meetings. You will also have full functionality within Microsoft Teams, and we encourage you to begin using and become familiar with Teams prior to the sunset of Skype later this year.

Microsoft Teams extends the capabilities of Skype for Business, bringing together chat, meetings, calling, collaboration, app integration, and file storage into a single interface. This new central hub for teamwork can help streamline the way users get things done, improving user satisfaction and accelerating business outcomes.

What Is Microsoft OneDrive?

After the migration, you will have access to Microsoft OneDrive storage in the cloud. OneDrive will replace network and local file storage. You will receive more information about this feature later this year.
