Registration is now open for the Connecticut State In-Service Training, offering a curated selection of online and in-person courses designed to strengthen capabilities, support career progression, and advance professional excellence across UConn Health.

Part of UConn Health’s ongoing commitment to continuous learning and workforce excellence.

Plan Ahead: Courses are offered on a rolling basis throughout the spring. Registration submissions must be at least three weeks prior to the course start date as courses fill up quickly and allow approval and payment processing.

Register in Three Steps

1. Explore the Catalogs

Visit the CT State Community College and Southern Connecticut State University training websites to identify courses aligned with your professional development goals.

2. Obtain Manager Approval

Confirm your selection and department payment method before submitting your request.

3. Submit Your Registration

Complete the UConn Health Connecticut State In-Service Training Registration Form — one submission per course.

  • Use only the UConn Health registration form. Forms found on community college websites cannot be processed and will delay registration.
  • Enrollment is finalized once payment is received.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with next steps after your request has been processed.

Payment

Human Resources coordinates registrations on your behalf; the training program is administered by the Connecticut State Community College system.

Transfer Voucher
Use the FOAPAL provided in your confirmation email.

Personal Check
Payable to UConn Health and delivered to:

Registration is completed once payment is secured.

Prepare for Your Course

Watch for course details from the instructor at least 24 hours before the start date.

  • Confirm login details for virtual courses
  • Verify classroom location for in-person sessions
  • Contact the instructor directly with course-specific questions
  • In the Case of Inclement Weather: Contact the instructor directly to ensure the course has not been canceled. contact the community college directly for information if you cannot reach the instructor.

If you are unable to attend, another employee from your department may participate in your place as refunds are not available.
