Content Renderings
A web page is comprised of a main content block with an option of add-on components to display content. New pages have a Header and Footer in place by default, a standard Interior Banner and Content Block are placed for you. Add components based on content avoid decorative images that do not add information relevant to the page.
Frontend Components
Components are added and edited using the Experience Editor, updates are made on-page or using a RichText Editor.
Backstage Components
Components are built and managed in the Content Editor, updates are made by creating new items or by using picker to select what is displayed.
Select a Rendering
Experience Editor components are added from the Menu Bar, use the Home Tab and select Add New Components, an Icon is also available to the right of Save and Search.
Once selected an Add Here tab is displayed wherever a component can be placed. Options are displayed in the Select a Rendering window.
Content Editor components are added by right clicking on a web pages Page Data folder, select Insert, then choose a component from the dropdown list.
All components are displayed as options but some are meant for specific templates or are already included on a new item.
