We are aware of a recent cybersecurity incident affecting Stryker, a global medical technology partner of ours. Stryker has confirmed they were impacted by a cyber breach which caused a large-scale disruption to their services.
Currently, there is no impact to UConn Health systems, including UConn Health Waterbury Hospital. Our IT team has confirmed that our environment is not connected to the affected Stryker systems, however, out of an abundance of caution we are reviewing all of our systems.
Inbound email from Stryker is currently being quarantined until an official all-clear is provided.
Our IT leadership is in communication with Stryker and closely monitoring the situation. We will share additional updates as needed.
