It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Joanna Mackie, coding and document integrity manager in our Department of Revenue Integrity.
Joanna was a quiet yet committed employee who spent her time defending the interests of UConn Health, whether as part of regulatory team or in responding to the constant barrage of audits from government entities. She was very passionate and a fierce competitor when came to defending our hospital and providers. She was extremely knowledgeable in the coding/documentation area and was a valued resource to many. We only recently celebrated her 10th year of service at UConn Health.
She will be greatly missed.
