Both UConn John Dempsey Hospital and UConn Medical Group are out-of-network with Aetna as of Dec. 1, 2025. Our team continues to actively negotiate with Aetna for a fair agreement and is committed to returning both our facility and providers back in-network once Aetna provides us with a meaningful proposal.
 
We continue to cancel appointments each week for impacted Aetna patients who do not wish to either use their out-of-network benefits or pay fully out-of-pocket for services.
