Coming Soon: Updated UConn Health Notice of Privacy Practices

Effective February 16, 2026

The revised Notice of Privacy Practices (the “Notice”) will go into effect on February 16, 2026. This update ensures compliance with new requirements and improves transparency for patients and staff.

When and Where Will You See the Updated Notice?

On or slightly before February 16, 2026, expect:

• Replacement of the Notice in patient-facing locations throughout UConn Health.
• Updated content on UConn Health websites (including Spanish).
• Printable version available in Epic.
• Updated materials through the Design & Document Production Center.

Why Did the Notice Change?

The revised Notice:

• Reflects changes in applicable requirements.
• Improves transparency about:
  • Use of artificial intelligence (AI) to support treatment, payment, and healthcare operations.
  • Uses and disclosures related to substance use disorder treatment, reproductive healthcare, and gender-affirming care.
