The student-run Sustainability Club is back with its clothing swap, a thrift-shop-style approach to keeping clothing out of landfills.
Medical and dental students collected donations of gently used clothing over the last several weeks, and are offering them in the student lounge through May 1.
“As the sustainability interest group, we like to promote sustainable practices,” says medical student Taylor Radke, the club’s co-president. “We know clothing waste is a big contributor to landfills every year, so we put on this event annually to promote clothing recycling and try to help prevent unwanted clothing from entering those landfills.”
