Beginning Monday, Aug. 25, new EV chargers will go into service in Garage 1. There are four chargers each on Levels 1-5, replacing the old EV chargers on Level 1.
EV charger users will be required to register an account with the AmpUp Driver App. On the sign posted at each available charger there is a QR code that will take you to the AmpUp website, where you will log into your account to begin charging.
The fee for charging will be $0.18 per kWh.
The maximum charge time is four (4) hours. EV charger users are expected to move their vehicle from the charger space within the four-hour period. Please be considerate of your colleagues and move your vehicle to another available parking space so others may use the charger.
Vehicles remaining beyond the four-hour limit will incur an hourly fee of $5 per hour.
To access an available charger, drivers will need one of the following permits in place prior to charging:
Garage 1 (Levels 1-5)
- A valid Area 1 permit
- A valid Student permit
- A valid Resident/Fellow permit
- No permit required for patients or visitors
Garage 2 (Level 1)
- A valid Area 1 permit
- A valid Resident/Fellow permit for nights (5 p.m. to 7 a.m.) and weekend access
Garage 3 (Level 1)
- A valid Area 1 permit
