State of Connecticut In-Service Training Program

The Spring 2025 CT State In-Service Training Program Is Now Open!

Enhance your skills with over 85 online and in-person courses available to all Connecticut state employees through the Connecticut Community College System. UConn Health employees can take courses to:

  • Strengthen business skills
  • Develop leadership abilities
  • Advance technological expertise

Registration Details

    1. Review Program Terms and Conditions

    • Deadlines:
      • For courses through March 31: Submit online registration with payment by Wednesday, March 12.
      • For courses after April 1: Deadline is Tuesday, March 18.
    • UConn Health Human Resources facilitates registration but does not administer the program.
    • Obtain manager approval and confirm how you plan to pay for the course.
    • Seats are reserved only with payment - transfer voucher or personal check.
      • For those paying with a transfer voucher, use the FOAPAL provided in the email sent to you once you submit your online request form.
      • If paying by personal check, make it out to UConn Health and drop it off at Human Resources, c/o Etta Folk, located on the 5th floor of 16 Munson Road. Hours: Weekdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • No registrations are guaranteed and no refunds.
      • If you cannot attend the course in which you are registered due to illness, work-related reasons, or other unforeseen circumstances, another employee from your department may be sent to the course in your place. This is the only available remedy for absence from a class.

    • Complete the Online Registration Form - one per course.
    • Do not use the course registration pdf on the Connecticut State Employee Training website, they will not accept it.
    • You'll receive a confirmation email upon submission with additional information.
    • Remember, registrations are not submitted to the College without payment. See terms and conditions above.
    • Complete any additional community college registrations upon receipt of course confirmation.
    • If you don't receive confirmation from Human Resources, contact Etta Folk at efolk@uchc.edu.

    4. Prepare for Your Course

    • For Online Courses: Ensure you receive course log-in information from the instructor at least 24 hours before the start of the course. Contact the instructor directly if you still need to receive the course log-in information.
    • For On-Campus Courses: Ensure you receive course information from the instructor at least 24 hours before the start of the course. Contact the instructor directly to ensure the course has not been canceled. Contact the community college directly if you are still trying to reach the instructor.
    • In the Case of Inclement Weather: Contact the instructor directly to ensure the course has not been canceled. contact the community college directly for information if you cannot reach the instructor.
